Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

A collaborative CBT hour for the thoughts and patterns that keep circling. Adults, teens, and families. LGBTQ friendly.

Chapter 01

The loop you can already name

Depression, anxiety, mood disorder, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), and Impulse Control Disorder are on the incumbent FAQ list for a reason. People come in already able to describe the loop. They cannot always see the next move.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is one of the modalities Noel integrates. It is not a worksheet factory. It sits next to a client-centered stance and, when it belongs, solution-focused work.

How Noel runs the hour

The goal, in his own published words, is to enable people to access inner resources, develop new insights, and work through self-destructive patterns. That is the CBT hour in this office: insight plus a pattern you can actually interrupt.

He received his Master’s in Counseling from the University of Houston-Victoria at Sugar Land. He has trained more than 30,000 teachers and written Stop in the Name of Love (2010) on positive and solution-focused behavioral interventions. The school-consultant years show up when a teen’s thinking is the reason the family called.

Chapter 03

What happens if you skip it

A mood disorder or an OCD loop does not wait for a better week. People wait. The Google reviews on this practice include a parent who waited until a teen would not talk, and a couple who waited three years. Those are their words, not a sales script.

If the thinking sits inside a marriage or a family system, ask for couples or family on the same phone call. Same counselor. Same Nasa Parkway door.
