When a teen will not talk at home
Catherine Stoll wrote that Noel worked with her teen son after unusual behavior and the smell of marijuana. He refused to talk to her. After a few sessions she could have a conversation with him again. That is her Google review, quoted as written.
Psychology Today lists family conflict, child work, parenting, school issues, and peer relationships among Noel’s expertise. He sees children as young as 10, and sometimes 8 if the child can express feelings, through elders 65 and older.

Noel integrates family systems / system theory with a client-centered approach, CBT, and EMDR when trauma is in the room. The hour is not a lecture at the teen. It is a way to name the system the family is already running.

After the first family hour
If the teen’s piece is trauma, the next door may be EMDR. If a parent’s marriage is the system, the next door may be couples. Same LPC. Same Clear Lake office.
