Rarely are any of us able to escape trauma, devastation from addiction, profound grief, or shattered dreams. Some of that stays in the body after the story has been told more than once. EMDR is the hour Noel names when talking has not been enough.

You sit in the session room or you join on Zoom. Noel integrates EMDR with a client-centered approach, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and family systems rather than running a costume protocol that ignores the rest of your life.

Chapter 03
After the door closes
EMDR does not replace Twelve-Step work for someone in recovery. Therapy is not recovery; it is a tool. Noel still encourages Alcoholics Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous, and Alanon when that is the client’s path.
If the trauma sits inside a marriage or a family, the next hour may be couples counseling or family systems. The same LPC, the same office, a different name on the wipe.
